WHAT IS SAMA?

SAMA originates from the Sanskrit word that means equal or balanced. Finding balance in our lives can be challenging but with the right amount of effort and dedication we believe it’s one of the keys to leading healthy and enriched lives.

SAMA is a locally owned yoga and movement studio with high quality group classes, private instruction, events, workshops and serves as an education center for both students and instructors. Our classes are created to help you find equanimity and balance in a safe, welcoming environment. We offer daily classes that will encourage you to build strength and stability, develop better flexibility and mobility, as well as rejuvenate your body and mind. Our goal is to help you find physical and mental evenness through improved body alignment and posture, increased circulation and digestion, and enhanced relaxation and restoration.

The Studio Space

Sama Yoga Studio, inspired by the concept of balance ("sama" in Sanskrit), embodies the harmony and equilibrium found in nature through its design. Drawing upon the principles of Organic Modern style, the studio seamlessly merges the natural world with contemporary aesthetics. The interior space features organic shapes and flowing lines, reminiscent of natural forms found in nature. Large windows in the front of our space, allow ample natural light to flood the interior, further emphasizing our connection with the outdoor world. Soft, earthy tones and natural materials such as wood and stone enhance and ground the space while the incorporation of elements of the outodoors through intentional use of materials, textures and lines fosters a sense of tranquility and balance. Practitioners are enveloped in an environment where all things coexist in harmony, inviting them to find their own sense of balance and connection within.
